There is already hype building for a potential return of legend Bill Goldberg for months, and many have been hinting at a Goldberg-Brock Lesnar showdown.
Both wrestlers have been very active in promoting the game - Lesnar's on the cover, while Goldberg is a pre-order bonus - and fans inside the Barclays Center even chanted Goldberg's name at the end of SummerSlam, after Randy Orton was mercilessly crushed by Lesnar.
Goldberg is 49 years old now, but he still looks to be in good shape for a fight or two. Hitting spears and jackhammers definitely won’t be a problem for the ageing superstar.
According to a video released by ‘thebiglead’, Goldberg although joked about his age in the gym, but didn't rule out an eventual return.
"Dude, look at me. I'm 49 years old. Leave it to the young guys to to their thing, but I'm ... in here trying to continually stay in shape, and you never say never. It's getting close to that clock kind of stopping on me. But, you know, never say never."
The interviewer then suggested Brock Lesnar as an opponent, and Goldberg responded by blowing his nose on a Lesnar shirt and ripping it in half. "I don't know, can I still do this? Man, I still can do it at 49. Brock, you're next," Goldberg concluded by warning the Beast.
Goldberg’s last WWE match came against Lesnar at WrestleMania XX back in 2004. He has made many critical remarks about Vince McMahon over the years, but McMahon has made a career out of making peace with former enemies.
And now it looks like, we can have a Goldberg-Lesnar fight at WrestleMania. Brace yourselves for the ultimate fight….. if at all it happens, then it won’t be no less than destruction. Watch the video here as Goldberg blows his nose and rips Lesnar’s T-shirt:
