Finn Balor’s 2016 was a rollercoaster ride—back in August, he became the very first WWE Universal Champion, but due to a shoulder dislocation, he was forced to relinquish his title the following night on Raw.
The Demon King went under the knife just a few days later, and the original prediction for his return was said to be around 6-8 months. But Balor has hinted that he may be able to return sooner than expected.
Over the past couple of months, the talented wrestler said that he will be preparing for WrestleMania 33 and chances of an early return was never on the cards. Now, the Demon King has hinted at an early return.
Balor himself posted a picture on his Instagram account hinting that he could make a surprise entry at the Royal Rumble PPV.
The post, without any doubts, has already created a lot of buzz among the pro-wrestling fans. It’ll be interesting to see who WWE decides to put Balor in the ring with at WrestleMania 33.
If Balor were to return at the Royal Rumble, he would arguably have to be instantly considered as the favorite to win the match and go on to WrestleMania and regain his WWE Universal Championship.
