Brock Lesnar smacked Randy Orton in the main event of SummerSlam Sunday night with a TKO finish, splitting open Orton’s head with a series of elbow blows that continued even after referees stepped in to check on the wounded superstar’s condition.
Shane McMahon rushed to the ring to try and stop Lesnar and protect his SmackDown star, but the Beast reacted by hitting McMahon with an F5.
It was widely believed Lesnar’s this act was a part of storyline, but Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon cleared the air.
According to WWE.com, Stephanie promised that Lesnar would face repercussions, and that he "absolutely crossed the line." On Tuesday’s SmackDown Live Pre-Show, she slammed a $500 fine for Lesnar’s vicious attack on the Viper.
Earlier, WWE.com reported that Orton needed 10 staples to close the gash.
