The four-hour pay-per-view main event ended in Brooklyn after a bizarre event. Brock Lesnar brutally assaulted Randy Orton, which saw the latter’s forehead getting injured badly. There was a pool of blood in the ring and it looked like Orton was done and dusted for the night.
The doctor called for the bell, but Lesnar pulled people and continued attacking the bruised superstar. The main event was called to an abrupt end after Lesnar delivered what was a very solid elbow to the head of Orton.
Shortly after midnight, WWE issued an update on Orton’s condition after SummerSlam.
‘’WWE.com has learned that Randy Orton has received 10 staples to close a laceration on his forehead following the brutal assault by Brock Lesnar that resulted in a TKO at SummerSlam.’’
According to WWE’s report, Orton needed ten stitches to stop the profuse bleeding which happened after Lesnar elbowed him. There’s no word on if Orton will be on SmackDown this week or not.
This is definitely considered to be one of the vicious assaults by Lesnar. There is no word on further damage of Orton and also, it remains to be seen whether WWE will punish Lesnar for his ruthless deeds on Sunday.
